As a Configuration Technician, you will follow platform documentation, processes, and production defaults to apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hardware-specific software. You'll work hands-on with the latest technologies from NVIDIA, Dell, Cisco, and other leading OEMs.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • One to two years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with computer hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft office products.
  • Strong attention to detail and task prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Commitment to maintaining 5S and other operational standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assembling and configuring data center racks.
  • Familiarity with liquid cooling systems and high-performance computing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure computer servers based on engineering-provided data sheets and system requirements.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware defects, logical issues, and system errors across a wide range of technologies.
  • Escalate issues as needed through Jira.
  • Install and configure operating systems and related software.
  • Flash BIOS and firmware on various hardware platforms.
  • Power on data center racks using PDUs to do testing outlined by engineering.
  • Upgrade and test network switches.
  • Work independently to resolve technical challenges with minimal documentation.
  • Assist in optimizing work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Harvest data correctly based on instructions given.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support other departments as needed.
