About The Position

Venatôre is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to support the CENTCOM CITS Enterprise IT contract. This position is based in Tampa, FL and is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of configuration items (CIs) across enterprise IT systems within DoDIN enclaves. The role ensures systems remain properly documented, controlled, and compliant with DoD standards by managing configuration baselines, supporting change control processes, and enabling audit readiness. The Configuration Manager collaborates closely with Cybersecurity, Network, and Systems teams to ensure consistent and secure system configurations across the environment.

Requirements

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration management within a DoD or enterprise IT environment
  • Experience maintaining configuration baselines and tracking system changes
  • Familiarity with CMDB or asset tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)
  • Working knowledge of system and network configurations
  • Strong understanding of DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and change management processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting USCENTCOM or similar operational environments
  • Familiarity with Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance reviews
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II)
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain approved configuration baselines for enterprise IT systems and devices
  • Ensure all configuration changes are properly documented, tracked, and approved
  • Manage configuration records within CMDB or similar asset tracking systems
  • Maintain accurate system inventories, documentation, and network diagrams
  • Ensure configuration data remains current, consistent, and reliable
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities to review proposed changes
  • Assess changes for impact, compliance, and alignment with configuration standards
  • Ensure approved changes are accurately reflected in configuration documentation
  • Track configuration status and identify discrepancies across systems
  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve configuration inconsistencies
  • Support audit and inspection activities by providing configuration documentation
  • Participate in configuration audits and remediation efforts
  • Ensure system configurations align with DISA STIGs and RMF requirements
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and engineering teams to maintain compliance
  • Recommend improvements to configuration management processes and controls
