About The Position

As an R&D Tech II here at Honeywell, you will support R&D by conducting experiments, analyzing data, and aiding new product development. Your work will drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge. You will report directly to our R&D Manager, and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, Illinois location on an On-site, work schedule. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and coordinate the activities for an assigned group of pilot plants.
  • Collecting, organizing, interpreting, and comparing data against expected performance.
  • Analyzing results and initiating approved action.
  • Ensuring there is effective communication with internal customers.
  • Ensuring all safety aspects are properly considered.
  • Ensuring instructions are written and up to date.
  • Ensuring shift technicians are trained.
  • Ensuring improvement projects are implemented on your assigned group of pilot plants.
  • Develop proficiency in applying the Honeywell Accelerator principles and Process Safety Fundamentals to area work processes with an emphasis on continuous improvement and rapid problem solving to improve the group’s effectiveness in supporting the development of the latest catalysts, adsorbents, and process technologies.
  • Support all team driven HS&E initiatives.
