R&D Software Engineer, Intern
About The Position
Keysight is hiring an R&D Software Engineer intern to contribute to development of current and future Vector Network Analyzer products. The role is part of an engineering team in Santa Rosa, California, and relocation benefits are available. Projects involve gathering and reviewing customer requirements, analyzing and designing solutions, prototyping, developing, and testing software, firmware, and applications. Project scope and complexity will be matched to the intern’s existing capabilities and ability to acquire new skills. The position offers a challenging, dynamic environment and the opportunity to contribute to new product development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another engineering discipline.
- Strong C++ programming skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of building, testing, and debugging software.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Embedded system programming experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Git source control systems.
- Candidates who currently require or may require visa sponsorship in the future may not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and document software solutions for electronic test and measurement products.
- Review and understand customer requirements.
- Write regression tests for software.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Work with a team to gather requirements and create complete solutions for Vector Network Analyzer products.
