R&D Software Engineer, Intern

About The Position

Keysight is seeking an R&D Software Engineer intern to help develop software for network visibility platforms. The role involves designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining software; contributing to feature development and issue resolution for Network Packet Broker platforms; and designing and prototyping features on existing and in-development hardware. The intern will work independently and with a multidisciplinary engineering team, and participate in design and code reviews.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
Relevant coursework in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
Experience with full-stack web application development.
Experience with Java and a client-side scripting language such as JavaScript or ExtJS.
Experience with REST APIs and system integration.
Experience with AI and LLMs.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Personal, academic, open-source, or internship projects demonstrating initiative and technical curiosity.
Strong software debugging skills.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Ethernet and networking technologies.

Responsibilities
