About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver software and firmware for ultra-high-performance datacenter-scale solutions. This is an in-person position in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment with a small team of experienced engineers. Under the “One Person, One Project” development culture, you will own all aspects of a design, which may include ZephyrOS/OpenBMC firmware, microcode, device drivers, embedded Linux/Yocto builds, and upper-level control software. The role follows a cradle-to-grave product lifecycle: ownership continues after product ship and may include assisting with customer trials, addressing field issues, ensuring product sustainability, and driving validation and automation. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary engineering team developing forward-looking technologies and interact extensively with partner engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience developing C++/C software for large-scale, complex multi-processor architectures such as x86 and ARM, from low-level firmware to rack management control software.
  • Experience with Linux/Yocto, OpenBMC, and/or ZephyrOS.
  • Deep expertise in early-stage development, including silicon, chip, board, and full-system bring-up.
  • Proven ability in driver development and low-level/silicon debugging.
  • Hands-on experience writing software for low-level interfaces including I2C, PMBus, AVSbus, MDIO, PCIe, SPI, USB, and SERDES.
  • Strong knowledge of Redfish and DMTF standards, including MCTP, PLDM, and SPDM.
  • Experience implementing Secure Boot, u-boot, and Secure Root of Trust (RoT), and familiarity with architectures such as Calyptra.
  • Baseline knowledge of datacenter networking, switching, and NIC architectures.
  • Expertise with debugging tools, testing techniques, and system-level validation and automation.
  • Demonstrated lifecycle product ownership of complex products and participation in cross-functional teams from product inception to volume production.
  • Ability to work with support groups including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.
  • Able to work in person.
