About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver software and firmware for ultra-high-performance datacenter-scale solutions. The role is in person and involves working in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment with a small team of experienced engineers. Under the “One Person, One Project” development culture, you will own all aspects of a design, which may include ZephyrOS/OpenBMC firmware, microcode, device drivers, embedded Linux/Yocto builds, and upper-level control software. Product ownership continues after shipment: you will assist with customer trials, address field issues, support product sustainability, and drive validation and automation. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary engineering team on forward-looking technologies and interact extensively with partner engineering teams. The position calls for experience developing software for complex, multi-processor datacenter architectures, from low-level firmware through rack-management control software. It also requires expertise in early development and system bring-up, low-level interfaces, management protocols, security and boot, networking, testing, and product lifecycle ownership. A bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of related experience are specified. The annual base salary range is shown as “USD To USD,” with no amounts provided. Eligible compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus, a competitive new-hire equity grant, and annual equity awards, subject to applicable plan documents and award agreements. Broadcom offers medical, dental, and vision plans; 401(k) participation with company matching; an Employee Stock Purchase Program; an Employee Assistance Program; company-paid holidays; paid sick leave and vacation time; and leave in accordance with applicable laws.
