About The Position

Axogen is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our R&D team for the Fall 2026 semester and potentially beyond. This internship offers a dynamic, professional, hands-on experience with guidance from knowledgeable mentors. The intern will gain a unique perspective on working within a smaller biomedical company, enjoying high visibility within the organization. This role is based in our Tampa office, requiring the student to be local and able to work on-site.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; preferably business or project management related.
• Ability to work 15 hours per week within normal business hours, Monday – Friday (specific days/times based on student’s class schedule).
• Must be local to the Tampa, FL area and able to work in the office.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Exceptional written & oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, use of Microsoft Office, Excel.
• Good organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifying risks, constraints, issues, and dependencies.
• Owning and undertaking various tasks related to Smartsheet project plans, Excel and template creation.
• Ensuring that best project management practices and standards are met.
• Helping the company deliver maximum value through its projects.
• Assisting with developing and managing project plans, timelines/schedules, documentation, and project deliverables.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to help identify and document project requirements.
• Monitoring and tracking project progress against established plans and budgets.
• Communicating project status updates to project teams and escalating issues as necessary.
• Supporting the team in all phases of project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and closure.
• Participating in project status meetings and providing input to improve project processes.
