CloroxPleasanton, CA

About The Position

The Clorox Company Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience that runs from June through August. Interns are provided meaningful work assignments designed to provide perspective and practical work experience highlighting what you would do in a similar role following completion of your degree and working at the company on a regular, full-time basis. The Research and Development organization is embedded within each of our Clorox business, taking new generations of consumer products from concept to reality. With such diverse roles as engineers, scientists, mechanical designers and packaging experts, R&D is a community of technical leaders and managers actively involved in virtually every step in the lifecycle of our products, from initial concept to raw materials to final goods on store shelves. R&D is committed to leveraging the latest technology to bring consumers the high-quality, innovative products they expect and deserve. We offer an exciting internship that provides our interns the opportunity to be leaders in the development and/or refinement of our products. Interns will actively utilize our state-of-the-art laboratories and pilot plants to work on fast paced, hands-on, and technically stimulating projects. These projects will help our interns develop communication skills, learn how to optimize experiments, collect data, perform statistical analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations on next steps, all of which are valuable for the consumer products industry and research in any field. Engineers are needed to work in product, packaging, and process development, which involves understanding consumer needs, investigating future technologies, and designing and developing functional and cost-effective solutions across all of Clorox's brands. This would include consumer testing, mechanical and chemical performance testing and package component qualifications both in laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing plants.
