We are seeking an R&D Fiber Technician to support flame hydrolysis (OVD) and fiber research projects in a dynamic laboratory environment. In this role, you will partner with scientists to support process development, build and maintain lab-scale tools, conduct experiments, analyze data, and help solve technical challenges related to fiber processes.

Requirements

Associate degree (2-year degree) in a technical field required
Experience working in a laboratory or experimental environment
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and graphing
Comfort working with a variety of lab equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly

Responsibilities

Support scientists in solving fiber research and process challenges
Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and proof-of-concept testing
Help improve existing processes and evaluate new process capabilities
Collect, document, and analyze process data using statistical methods
Maintain laboratory spaces, process equipment, and materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and support solutions
Communicate project updates and findings to the team
Document work clearly and contribute to intellectual property efforts as appropriate
