About The Position

Develop and maintain structural designs for superconducting MRI magnet systems, including cryogenic vessels, cryostats, coil structures, and mechanical support systems. Solve complex structural problems by developing models and analyses to predict static and dynamic loads and stresses using hand calculations, numerical methods, and finite element analysis (FEA) to guide design decisions. Define and execute engineering mitigation activities, including requirements management, FMEA, test planning, prototype test development, data acquisition, analysis, and technical documentation. Support prototype development and product industrialization by working with suppliers and manufacturing on component fabrication, supplier qualification, design implementation, and manufacturing challenges. Provide mechanical engineering expertise across the product lifecycle, collaborating with Systems Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Service, and other disciplines to resolve technical and field issues and deliver robust designs. This is an office role; office-based teams work in person at least three days per week. The position requires the ability to perform minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements, with or without accommodation.
