About The Position

This co-op program is a 6-month immersion into Conagra Brands and their Research & Development (R&D) Packaging organization. The co-op will support packaging teams with technical project tasks that contribute to the development and commercialization of new, improved, and cost-reduced packaging. The role will support the delivery of technology objectives and help the co-op meet their individual goals. The position is located in Omaha, NE, and the dates are July-December 2026.

Requirements

  • Current student with a graduation date of May or December 2027
  • Packaging Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or related major preferred
  • Low level of complexity in tasks
  • Expected to be a quick learner
  • Openness to coaching / mentoring
  • Ability to seek out information as needed
  • Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible representative of Conagra

Responsibilities

  • Support packaging teams with technical project tasks.
  • Contribute to the development and commercialization of new, improved, and cost-reduced packaging.
  • Support the delivery of technology objectives.

  • Participate in plant trials and prepare results for review.
  • Apply knowledge of technical field to work.
  • Maintain awareness of technical developments in the field.
  • Prepare and present results, both written and oral, to supervisor.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports.
  • Develop and issue technical specifications.
  • Perform technical project related tasks.
  • May manage small projects independently.
  • Complete project tasks on budget.
  • Pay attention to cost considerations.
