Requirements

  • B.S. and 7+ years of experience OR M.S. and 5+ years of experience OR Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience
  • Education in Food Science, Food Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in beverage product development at a CPG company
  • Outstanding teamwork, communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and communicate implications of emerging consumer trends
  • Proven track record in maintaining good working relationships with business partners
  • Occasional flexibility in working hours to setup and complete focus groups, product expos, pilot plant scaleups, or plant trials that may extend past typical working hours
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects from ideation to launch, leveraging the existing process to innovate effectively, drive business strategy, and manage/align key stakeholders
  • Identify and manage productivity and brand stewardship initiatives to drive efficiencies across the business
  • Develop and align of project objectives, deliverables, and timelines with cross functionally prior to initiation of work
  • Proactively brings ideas to table in making work streams efficient and data led
  • Design and execute experiments; analyze and interpret data to make sound technical recommendations on product and process issues
  • Provide technical and business risk assessment/perspectives related to new product development
  • Perform economic evaluations on ingredients, ingredient suppliers, and product formulations
  • Leverage electronic formula documentation systems for development and implementation of product specification requirements
  • Partner internally with Discovery & Applications and externally with key strategic vendors to source ingredients and leverage expertise in ingredient functionality
  • Participate as an active member of cross-functional business teams comprised of individuals from a variety of disciplines, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, PGCS, and others
  • Partner with R&D disciplines such as Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Nutrition, and Regulatory to ensure a robust, safe and legal product design, and with Sensory & Consumer Product Insights to ensure thorough sensory and consumer validation
  • Aids in the building of PBNA roadmap for AI and digital initiatives. Identifies use cases and build solutions.
  • Leverages digital tools to build PBNA efficiencies for R&D specific tasks
