About The Position

Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., is seeking a Quotations Agent to join their team. The primary focus of this position is to assist Territory Managers and Customer Service Representatives by providing customer quotations that result in profitable sales revenue. The Quotations Agent will support the overall sales strategy through efficient and timely responses to internal and external customers by preparing and submitting quotes to customers. This role is highly CRM-driven, with the majority of quotation activity, tracking, and customer data managed within the system. The Quotations Agent will work closely within a remote, cross-functional team environment, requiring strong communication and the ability to manage responsibilities independently. Desire and ability to provide superior customer service is imperative. This is a salaried non-exempt position.

Requirements

Previous Customer Service or Quotations experience ideal
Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to understand and work with formulas and formats submitted by customers
Familiarity with Microsoft D365 a plus
Previous experience managing quotes, customer data and activities within a CRM strongly preferred
Strong communication, organization, and people skills including the ability to effectively communicate with remote team members
Mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic calculations accurately and quickly
Self-motivated, assertive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail particularly within CRM systems and quoting process
Ability to work within a team atmosphere as well as independently in a self-directed environment
Excellent time management skills required

Knowledge of the manufacturer/distributor supply chain process desirable

Responsibilities

Receive customer requests for quotation and communicate with the Sales Department to generate a quotation
Manage and track all quotation activity within the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
Prepare cost and price estimates for materials using a variety of criteria, such as inventory availability, competitive position, price validity and other logistical considerations, including calculation of price escalations when necessary
Correlate all cost information within time frame of bid date and time needed by customers and Sales team
Build and maintain pricing measurements for decision making processes
Job tracking, including maintenance of job win/loss record within CRM
Communicate with managers in regard to processes and pricing across remote and onsite teams
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in daily interaction with customer base
Partner with Sales and internal teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategy and quotation accuracy
Performs various other miscellaneous sales and service-related duties as directed by management
