About The Position

Under direct supervision, assist in the quick repair barges inside and/or
outside. The Quick Repair Technician is responsible for install, repair, and
maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, safety, and flow valves.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills
• Work long hours doing repetitive motions in any weather
• Work occasional weekends or holidays
• Dependable
• Manages time effectively
• Must be mechanically inclined and familiar using hand tools and torque wrenches
• Must be willing to help out in other departments as needed
• Ability to work independently or as a team
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights (15 feet off the ground)
• Prior experience with bubble leak tests
• Prior experience with valve removal or reassembly
• Willingness to accept instruction
• ability to follow instructions
• demonstrate a desire to learn
• be aware of safety considerations
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
