Quick Lane Technician
About The Position
Midway Motors is seeking a dependable, energetic Quick Lane Technician to join its Service Team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working with vehicles, staying busy, and developing skills in the automotive industry. Automotive experience is helpful but not required; training may be provided to a candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The technician will perform routine maintenance, inspections, basic repairs, and tire services while keeping accurate work records and maintaining a clean, safe work area. The role involves working with Service Advisors and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently and providing quality care for customers’ vehicles. Training and development opportunities are available, with potential to grow within the Service Department and dealership group.
Requirements
- Dependable and ready to work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day.
Nice To Haves
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Automotive experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Perform basic repairs and services as assigned.
- Mount, balance, and repair tires.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Provide quality work while taking care of customers’ vehicles.
