Quick Lane Technician - Bob Swope Ford
About The Position
The Automotive Quick-Lane Technician will perform Oil Changes & Quick Lubes in an efficient manner. They will also perform Tire Changeovers & Wheel Balancing, and light duty repair work such as replacing wipers, air and cabin filters, and battery testing. The technician will provide Service Advisors with quality inspections and communicate recommendations when needed. They must demonstrate excellent guest service, including clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles, and ensure guest vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect. Promoting teamwork to deliver on guest expectations and maintaining strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation are essential. The role also requires maintaining any certifications and trainings as required by the manufacturer. The technician must be willing to help out in any area of the service department where needed, which could include building and grounds maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Knowledge in some aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Must be a fast learner with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work station.
- Must be able to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
- All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Perform Oil Changes & Quick Lubes in an efficient manner.
- Perform Tire Changeovers & Wheel Balancing.
- Light Duty Repair work - Wipers, Air & Cabin Filters, Battery testing.
