About The Position

RiverStone Group is seeking candidates for a Quarry Superintendent/Plant Manager to oversee a quarry in the IL/IA Quad Cities Region. This leadership position oversees all daily operations of the quarry, including but not limited to; rock production, employee supervision and hiring, customer service, mine location planning, and MSHA/Safety compliance reporting.

Requirements

3+ years background experience in quarry operations and personnel management.
Strong team-building and coaching skills.

An ability to build staff support and exhibit negotiation skills.
Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, written (report writing), and presentation.

A valid driver's license with good driving record.
Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background checks required.

Responsibilities

Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations, working in tandem with the company Safety Manager.
Direct and supervise all daily activities; production, drilling and blasting, quality control, maintenance, and relocation/set up of portable crushing plant.
Ensure all equipment at the plants is properly maintained and ready for operation at the start of each scheduled production shift.
Audit existing maintenance plans and modify as required in an effort to strive for optimal efficiency of plant operations at all times.
Work in coordination with the Area Production Manager and Area Sales Manager to determine required inventory and production demands.
Ensure the competence and development of employees by initiating training, coaching, counseling, or discipline procedures on a continuous basis.
Work in coordination with the Mine Development Department to execute efficient extraction of limestone per the engineered mine design plan.
