About The Position

The Quarry Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various plant equipment within the quarry operations. This includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, assisting with equipment installation and removal, and ensuring all work complies with safety and environmental regulations. The position requires a commitment to safety, quality work, and professional conduct.

Requirements

Ability to communicate and convey information effectively.
Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of OSHA & MSHA Standards.
Dependable transportation.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required.
Work weekends and overtime as needed.
Committed to attending work each day.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment operation (optional but beneficial).

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs in a timely and safe manner.
Assist in installation, alignment, and removal of mechanical components and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and assist with plant shutdowns and overhauls.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
Maintain a high level of quality work at all times.
Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner.
