About The Position

This is a night shift position, working hours will be approximately between 4:00pm-12:30am subject to change. The role involves planning and organizing work schedules to meet production targets, hands-on repair of plant equipment, and ensuring safety requirements are met for operating a rock and sand mining operation. The Foreman will manage a team of workers, assign tasks, provide training, and ensure safety standards and protocols are followed. Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining equipment, conducting inspections, coordinating repairs, maintaining accurate records of production, equipment maintenance, and employee performance. Collaboration with sales and logistics departments is key to fulfilling customer orders on time and to specifications. The role also requires responding to customer complaints and conducting site inspections for safety and environmental concerns.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a mining environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience as plant foreman or lead.
  • Must follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Some electrical knowledge/experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous MSHA training is a plus.
