About The Position

EY is seeking a Quantum Lead to drive quantum strategy and integrate quantum computing research and advanced cryptographic techniques into scalable business solutions. This role provides leadership across technical, strategic, and client-facing functions to deliver transformative quantum and quantum-safe cybersecurity capabilities at enterprise scale. The Quantum Lead will collaborate with account partners, sector leaders, and leadership to formulate and execute a quantum strategy aligned with firm-wide Applied Innovation goals. Key responsibilities include leading go-to-market (GTM) and commercialization strategy for quantum technologies, partnering with Global Markets and Alliance partners to activate the market and manage alliance relationships. The role involves driving market activation by engaging and expanding client relationships at all levels, enabling adoption and delivery of quantum technologies, and owning relationships with ecosystem partners to enhance GTM activities and enable growth & innovation through new partnerships. Additionally, the Quantum Lead will manage and mentor a high-performing team of quantum technologists, lead the implementation of complex quantum projects, and manage a solutions portfolio emphasizing product accelerators for (post) quantum cryptography, quantum optimization, and quantum networks. The position also requires representing firm thought leadership through publications, demos, and industry events, engaging with clients and matrixing with client serving professionals, leading and directing teams of professionals, developing and maintaining long-term client relationships, managing risk, and generating new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Cryptography, or a related field and 7 years of related experience, OR a PhD degree in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Cryptography, or a related field and 6 years of related experience.
  • 6 years of experience in advanced cryptography critical to quantum cybersecurity technologies, including quantum algorithms, post-quantum cryptography standards, and quantum security.
  • 6 years of consulting experience in a professional services firm, or mid-sized/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm.
  • 6 years of experience using enterprise architecture best practices addressing scalability, security, performance, and regulatory compliance, including enterprise system lifecycle including complex integrations involving cryptography, networking, data management, and distributed computing environments.
  • 6 years of experience communicating to clearly articulate complex quantum and cryptographic concepts to technical and business audiences.
  • 5 years of experience driving innovation from research and/or proof-of-concept stages through to production and commercialization.
  • 5 years of engagement leadership experience including managing strategic partnerships within global consulting environments, managing junior level consulting professionals, providing regular status updates, monitoring project economics, as well as managing client relationships and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience leading teams consisting of at least 2 people on multiple projects and providing direction to team members.
  • 5 years of experience presenting to executive level client stakeholders.
  • Requires domestic and international travel up to 10% to serve client needs.
  • Must be a "United States worker" as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor regulations at 20 CFR 656.3.

  • Represent firm thought leadership through publications, demos, and industry events.
  • Engage with clients and matrix with our client serving professionals to support them in all areas quantum related.
  • Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services.
  • Generate and manage new business opportunities.
