About The Position

Sika is seeking Quality Technicians to join its growing Roofing team in Sealy, Texas. The role supports the Quality Supervisor and manufacturing operations by monitoring the quality of manufactured goods and incoming materials, maintaining quality records, and monitoring quality-related process parameters. The position is listed for all shifts.

The Quality Technician performs tests and inspections on in-process materials and finished membranes, observes and documents production processes and quality parameters hourly, and tests incoming raw and semi-finished materials. The role also formulates color matches for sales using spectrophotometric software, enters laboratory-generated data in Microsoft Excel and Access, and maintains a clean and safe laboratory area.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy with data input and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Windows software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a laboratory environment, measurements, and production.
• Experience with computerized testing equipment such as laboratory balances, tensile testers, and spectrophotometers.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Supervisor.
• Monitor the quality of manufactured goods and incoming materials.
• Maintain a quality records database.
• Assist manufacturing operations by monitoring quality-related parameters.
• Perform daily quality tests and inspections on in-process materials and finished membranes.
• Observe and document production processes and quality parameters hourly.
• Perform acceptance tests on incoming raw materials and semi-finished materials.
• Formulate color matches for sales using spectrophotometric software.
• Enter laboratory-generated data using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory area.
