About The Position

At M-B Companies, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Chilton, the Quality Technician provides day-to-day production support at the Airport Maintenance Products facility. The role includes process monitoring, data collection, and implementing process improvements to improve product and process quality. Similar responsibilities supporting the Attachments and Brush plants may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
Basic understanding of root cause analysis tools, including fishbone and 5 Whys.
Ability to work independently with little oversight or as part of a team.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform production process audits to verify personnel understand their responsibilities and work is performed according to requirements.
Perform final visual inspections and/or measurements of parts, assemblies, and finished goods to ensure product quality.
Report process audit and product inspection findings, including trends and repetitive nonconformances, to relevant personnel.
Work with Production Management, Leads, and team members to improve production processes and product quality.
Facilitate appropriate documentation and resolution of nonconforming material issues.
Ensure monitoring and measuring equipment is calibrated in accordance with company policy.
Develop work instructions to control or improve Assembly processes.
Work with suppliers to improve the quality of purchased components.
Work with Engineering to improve the quality of Engineering documentation and promote design for manufacturability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
