About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for Document Control (which includes ECN/ECO and ESD training) and secondary, ISO Internal Audit. The Quality Engineer Technician role focuses on data and continuous improvement. The role involves creating quality reports, assisting in the initiation of corrective action requests, and raising awareness of quality defects. The position also includes data mining and analysis, completing reports, approving and generating Nonconformity Reports (NCRs), and preparing quality documents. A significant portion of the role involves performing audits to ensure the preservation, organization, and completeness of quality data, issuing NCRs, tracking responses, and verifying corrective action effectiveness. The role also requires working with repair and test teams to obtain root causes and communicating findings to the Quality Engineer. Additionally, the technician will work with the quality supervisor and inspectors to ensure data accuracy and perform periodic audits of MyCIS quality data.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of related document control experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, VISIO and Manufacturing Pro
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills

Technical writing skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Responsibilities

Document Control (ECN/ECO and ESD training)
ISO Internal Audit
Quality report creation
Assisting in initiation of corrective action requests for internal departments and external customers
Raising awareness of trending quality defects to quality engineer, production, and communicating trends in daily meetings based on report data
Completing daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as assigned
Approving NCRs generated by production, and generating NCRs originating from IQC
Preparing quality documents and analysis, including spreadsheets, reports, memos and other correspondence
Researching, analyzing and preparing recommendations regarding spikes in quality data or workmanship related defects
Performing weekly audits to ensure preservation, organization, and completeness of quality data related to Hipot records and Incoming Quality Inspection records
Issuing Nonconformity reports, tracking the responses and verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions by performing re-audits
Working with repair and test team to obtain root cause for outstanding items on repair and test reports and communicate this to QE
Working with quality supervisor and inspectors when needed to clarify data input to ensure accuracy in daily reporting
Performing periodic audits of MyCIS quality data to ensure completeness and report findings to quality lead to be addressed
