About The Position

The Protocol Technician will be a core member of the Clean, Safe and Secure (CS&S) program, responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory and cleanroom environment. This role involves conducting regular protocol and safety walks, documenting findings, ensuring corrective actions are implemented, and enforcing adherence to cleanroom protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The technician will also manage various programs related to part storage, waste disposition, and equipment maintenance, while supporting inspections and special requests. This position offers a "Swing" shift with a 10% salary differential and opportunities for advancement from Level 1 to Level 3 based on experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience
  • Previous experience in a production environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core member of the Clean, Safe and Secure (CS&S) program, contributing to monthly KPI reports.
  • Participate in lab and associated lab support area protocol & safety walks, documenting findings, tracking root cause and corrective actions, and ensuring timely closure of all findings.
  • Ensure finding closure cycle times meet established goals.
  • Monitor, maintain, and enforce cleanroom protocols adherence, including proper garment and PPE usage.
  • Assess and correct violations based on the standardized CS&S audit checklist.
  • Ensure all signage is compliant with corporate specifications, applicable to the area, standardized where possible, and easily visible.
  • Perform daily tag and sweep of FOUP/FOSB.
  • Document repeat offenders and collaborate on long-term corrective actions.
  • Empty all blue racks daily and ship FOSBs to B21/Reclaim.
  • Manage the wafer/part storage program, including pickup and delivery of FOUP/FOSB.
  • Drive the blue bin program for properly dispositioned parts from labs/clean rooms.
  • Routinely check and repair vacuum wands at all campuses.
  • Collect particle samples quarterly, plot data onto trend charts, and share results with management.
  • Support annual CUPA and Fire inspections.
  • Provide support for special requests such as customer visits, media tours, and executive tours.
  • Support Business Units (BU) in cleanup efforts as assigned.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in emergency events.
  • Make suggestions for lab Continuous Improvement (CIP) activities and track implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by client management.
