About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for assessing, auditing, and working with vendors on Root Cause/Corrective Action methods. This role involves performing internal quality system audits for EIMCo, preparing management reports, and verifying corrective actions. The technician will also serve as the lead auditor for EIMCo’s QMS, conduct Quarterly ISO process audits, and assist the Quality Manager with the implementation, auditing, revising, and improving of the Quality Management System. Additionally, the position acts as a point of contact for Compliance requirements from customers and third-party vendors, including REACH, ROHS, and Conflict minerals. Responsibilities also include performing gage R&R analysis, capability studies, assisting in the calibration of inspection tools, building work instructions, and supporting the training and professional development of Quality Inspectors. The role may involve filling in for inspectors during absences, communicating with shop personnel on quality concerns, and maintaining assigned work areas according to 5S procedures. Safety compliance and maintaining documentation are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills needed to plan and prioritize work activities

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CAD software.
  • Through understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, auditing, and working with vendors on Root Cause/Corrective Action methods.
  • Performing Internal quality system audits for EIMCo and preparing management reports summarizing quality performance.
  • Performing verifications of actions taken in response to customer concerns or internal requests for corrective action.
  • Serving as the lead auditor for EIMCo’s QMS and conducting Quarterly ISO process audits.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with implementation, auditing, revising, and improving our Quality Management System.
  • Acting as the point of contact for Compliance requirements from customers and any 3rd party vendors (e.g., REACH, ROHS, Conflict minerals).
  • Performing gage R&R analysis and capability studies.
  • Assisting in the calibration of in-house inspection tools.
  • Assisting in building work instructions for processes at EIMCo.
  • Assisting in the training and professional development of Quality Inspectors.
  • Filling in for quality department inspectors during absences.
  • Communicating with quality control and shop personnel on problems or concerns with parts, blueprints, and customer requirements.
  • Accepting responsibility for the quality of products/services provided following the EIMCo Quality Manual.
  • Maintaining the assigned work area clean and orderly and complying with all 5S procedures.
  • Safely conducting all tasks and behaviors and complying with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including PPE requirements.
  • Maintaining all required documentation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
