About The Position

The Quality Technician helps ensure products meet quality and food safety standards. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this role works closely with production teams to perform quality checks, identify and communicate issues, and maintain compliance with established standards. The position is based in Forest Park and has core hours of 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. It requires the ability to work overtime, including varying start and end times and weekends depending on business needs. Compensation is $27.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
Strong computer skills and comfort using technology.
Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to assist with tasks as needed.
Knowledge of and ability to follow FSSC, Organic, GFCO, and other applicable standards.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work overtime, including varying start and end times and weekends depending on business needs.

Nice To Haves

One year of quality experience within a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Perform quality checks and testing while following safety methods and carrying out tasks safely.
Conduct Critical Control Point checks and daily weight checks of packaging materials.
Perform ATP/allergen swab testing and environmental swabbing.
Participate in GMP audits.
Conduct inspections as needed, review packaging paperwork, perform daily checks, and complete plant walk-throughs.
Review out-of-specification products when necessary.
Maintain inventory of supplies and perform additional duties as assigned.
