About The Position

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining operational and safety procedures within the Coatings department. The Quality Technical Lead will schedule and coordinate training sessions, design and update training materials, monitor trainee performance, and maintain accurate training records. This position also assists in evaluating job performance and testing potential new hires. The role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping operations, or a similar industry
  • Ability to hold or obtain forklift operator licenses (sit-down, stand-up, turret, reach truck, etc.)
  • Ability to be open to obtaining instructor certifications for listed equipment.
  • Frequent standing and walking during training sessions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Use of fine and gross motor skills for equipment demonstrations and handling training materials.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions as required by operational areas.
  • Perform all tasks on-site in warehouse and training areas.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and occasional extreme temperatures.
  • Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain operational and safety procedures for all equipment used in the Coatings department.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
  • Design and update training materials, including multimedia content, course outlines, and evaluation tools.
  • Monitor and assess trainee performance; provide feedback and coaching to ensure competency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and certifications.
  • Assist in evaluating job performance and testing potential new hires when required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
