About The Position

This role involves leading a team of workers within AAON's Production Leader Program. The Fabrication Lead is responsible for assigning tasks, providing guidance, and motivating team members to achieve maximum productivity and quality. This position collaborates with the management team to meet production targets, allocates resources effectively, and monitors quality control processes. The lead also investigates and resolves production and quality issues, ensures safety protocols are followed, and identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating with inventory control, generating performance reports, and providing regular updates to management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and production management software and systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language
  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Completes AAON’s Production Leader Program.
  • Leads a team of workers, including assigning tasks and providing guidance.
  • Motivates and mentors team members to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Collaborates with management team to ensure production targets are met.
  • Allocates resources, including labor, equipment, and materials to support the production plan.
  • Monitors and enforces quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Investigates and addresses production and quality related issues as they arise.
  • Ensures all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
  • Conducts safety training and audits and provides recommendations for safety improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities for process optimization and improved efficiency.
  • Implements changes and oversees process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinates with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Generates regular reports on performance, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.
  • Provides regular updates to management on production status and challenges.
