In this role you will oversee in-process and end-of-line operations to ensure the product conforms to Vermeer standards and specifications. We’re looking for a people-focused and process-oriented problem solver who has a keen eye for detail and the ability to drive adherence to Vermeer’s standards.

Requirements

Minimum six months of related experience and/or training.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, read blueprints, and interpret standards, print tolerances, and other production specifications in order to accurately evaluate product and meet production needs.
Effective communication and relationship building with both internal and external customers.
Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, CAD and other software.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Gauge conformance to product specifications via in-process and end-of-line inspections.
Document non-conformances and defects, return non-conforming products to suppliers, and request corrective action, as applicable.
Communicate performance to production areas for awareness and improvement.
Execute guided inspection, ship hold, and hold-for-disposition processes.
Coordinate internal inspection and testing.
Collaborate with production and other functional areas to investigate issues and support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
