Responsibilities

  • Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices

  • Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external
  • Identify/provide/assess training for hourly associates.
  • Communicate training requirements to team leaders and area coordinators.
  • Recommend/implement changes as needed for value added/cost reduction.
  • Assist in identifying/implementing solutions to resolve internal/external customer complaints.
  • Maintain reporting system for monitoring day-to-day activities (PPM).
  • Maintain historical data on products/processes for reference.
  • Develop/update and Initiate implementation of procedures, work instructions, and set-up instructions.
  • Monitor, control and improve manufacturing process.
  • Conduct/perform/assist quality audits and capability studies to increase manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct/perform/assist with all DFMEA and PFMEA activities.
  • Leads/participates in various process improvement teams.
  • Update quality systems manufacturing procedures as required to maintain quality certification compliance.
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve quality supplier/customer issues.
  • Initiate personal contacts with suppliers to establish quality requirements.
  • Review Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) from suppliers as required.
  • Investigate returns to develop corrective action plans.
  • Prepare/submit all Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation as required.
  • Identify/recommend cost reductions/value analysis.
  • Monitor trends and recommend/implement/coordinate corrective action to improve products, processes and methods to reduce cost and increase value in accordance with lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Maintain/monitor the manufacturing scrap analysis program.
  • Implement corrective action to meet/exceed defined company objectives.
