The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing and packaging process to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards. This role conducts and reviews pre-operational inspections, environmental swabs, and sanitation checks to verify that production areas and equipment meet required cleanliness standards. The technician ensures employees follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), performs Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring and documentation, and supports compliance with food safety programs. Responsibilities also include verifying the quality of incoming raw ingredients, managing product hold and disposition processes, collecting samples for laboratory testing, and authorizing finished product release. The Quality Control Technician works closely with production and receiving teams to maintain product integrity, regulatory compliance, and consistent quality standards.
