About The Position

Accomplish Quality Assurance objectives by auditing processes, conducting product analysis, and documenting results. Communicate audit findings and opportunities for improvement to Manufacturing and Quality. Perform product and process audit inspection and first piece inspection layouts. Conduct data mining and data analysis. Calibrate gauges and use necessary inspection equipment and gauging for machined components. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests & exploring opportunities to add value to processes. Work well with others; be a team player. Understands and follows the Jackson site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with their work activities. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Able to interpret engineering specifications and standards
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and work well in fast-paced situations
  • Mobile and possess the ability to walk around the plant
  • Able to work safely and use required PPE
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, and/or Machinist
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GD&T is a plus
  • College Algebra strongly preferred (or the ability to demonstrate good math skills)
