About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ridley Park, PA. This role involves reviewing proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement in program development. The specialist will prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements. They will analyze process data, metrics, models, and flows to identify root causes of problems and participate with stakeholders in developing and implementing preventive or corrective actions. Additionally, the role includes conducting research, compiling and analyzing performance reports and process control statistics for continuous process improvement, and performing hardware, software, and system level audits to verify compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, and related business, regulatory, and customer requirements. The specialist will also analyze data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, and equipment. The role operates under general direction.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with MRB (Material Review Board) processes
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 3+ years of experience working Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • 1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, or BQMS)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience of relevant aerospace or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications

Responsibilities

  • Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development
  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems
  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
