Experienced Quality Systems Specialist
About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. This role involves reviewing supplier statements of work and purchase contracts to determine applicable quality requirements, liaising with supplier management, monitoring supplier quality activities, inspecting products for compliance, supporting internal audits, participating in root cause corrective actions, resolving routine issues, and coordinating process improvements. The position operates under general supervision and requires a team player able to work in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Experience with QMS (Quality Management System)
- Experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
- 1+ years of experience in project management and/or cross-functional integration
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- 3+ year of experience working in aerospace industry
- Experience with Supplier Quality Information Systems (SQIS)
- 3+ year of experience working in Quality job role
- 1+ year of experience in Supplier quality processes
- Experience working with Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000.
- 3+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
Responsibilities
- Reviews supplier statements of work and purchase contracts to determine the applicable quality requirements for suppliers
- Liaise with supplier management on purchase contracts
- Monitor supplier quality related activities and reports issues
- Inspect or verify products for compliance with requirements in Receiving Inspection
- Support internal audits of supplier quality processes
- Participate in root cause correct actions
- Resolve routine issues and concerns
- Coordinate and support process improvements
