About The Position

The Quality Systems Specialist will be responsible for setting up new ingredients and packaging materials in SAP, verifying the accuracy of incoming customer specifications, and reviewing incoming materials for accuracy and COA requirements. This role also involves reviewing incoming material labels for accuracy and regulatory compliance, coordinating HACCP and Food Safety verification and validation, and preparing for first production approval. The specialist will create Allergen matrices and date code sheets, maintain material masters and registers, and communicate with customers to resolve issues. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies, is required. This is a full-time, salaried position eligible for a discretionary annual incentive.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Makers Pride procurement, products, and production processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.

  • 5 – 7 years' experience in Data Entry.
  • HACCP Certified.
  • SAP Experience Required.
  • Microsoft Products Experience Required.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), SQF all pluses.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new ingredients and packaging materials in SAP.

  • Coordinate on HACCP and Food Safety verification and validation.
  • Collect FG customer samples during trial and ship customer samples, per required specs.
  • Prepare for first production approval.
  • Create Allergen matrix and date code sheet for facility use.
  • Maintain material masters and registers.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by site QA leadership.
