About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Quality Systems Specialists (Level 3 or 4) to join their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Liaison team in Renton, Washington. This role involves acting as a focal point for communication between Programs/Business Units and the FAA on complex Quality Management System (QMS) related topics and issues. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in applying verbal and written communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style, proof reading and editing skills
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • 3+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies (DCMA, FAA, and/or Military)
  • 1+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in collecting, interpreting data, and leading high level projects for management
  • 3+ years of experience in the airline industry
  • 3+ years of Boeing Problem Solving Model
  • 3+ years of experience with QMS
  • Demonstrated high level of dependability, interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, decision-making, collaboration, and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Works as a FAA Liaison
  • Develops and coordinates formal compliance responses with Programs/Business Units
  • Interprets and organizes complex information from multiple sources and develops a written response that stays in sync with formatting requirements and is professional and understandable
  • Guides stakeholders through analysis of data and processes necessary to perform a robust Root Cause Corrective Action
  • Periodically, perform Corrective Action Verification (CAV) and Sustain the Gains Verifications (STGV)
  • Supports FAA Principal Inspector (PI) audits, both in-person and using remote technology, which includes the tracking and resolution of any issues discovered during the audit and subsequent formal written correspondence
  • Authoring formal written correspondences for review and approval by Senior Leaders and the Legal Department and submission to the FAA
  • Responds to FAA Requests for Information
  • Monitors and analyzes data streams for potential compliance disclosures
