About The Position

Griffith Foods is hiring a Quality Systems Compliance Coordinator to develop and maintain the Quality Management System for the Lithonia facility, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and Griffith Foods standards while supporting continuous improvement, audit readiness, and FSQS compliance programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Food Science related field
  • Food manufacturing experience required
  • Knowledge of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) requirements is required
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMPs, internal auditing, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry, including quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to work onsite in LITHONIA, GA 4 days per week, 1 day hybrid
  • Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

  • PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) Certification (may be obtained within one year of assuming the position)
  • Lead Auditor Certification (may be obtained within one year of assuming the position)
  • BRC knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with BRC and Griffith Foods requirements.
  • Responding to customer compliance and food safety requests and completing customer-required documentation.
  • Coordinating HACCP and Food Safety Plan activities and serving as a member of the HACCP team.
  • Conducting and supporting internal audits, customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Tracking audit findings and developing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Managing quality policies, procedures, databases, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting food safety culture initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement activities throughout the facility.
  • Investigating and addressing customer complaints related to food safety and quality systems.
  • Supporting commercialization and first-batch approval activities to ensure compliance with food safety requirements and customer expectations.
  • Developing reports, tracking compliance metrics, and maintaining spreadsheets and databases to support internal and customer requirements.
