About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality System Specialist to support the FAB CORE team onsite in Puyallup and Auburn, Washington. This role involves reviewing proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement in program development. The specialist will prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with various requirements. They will analyze process data, metrics, models, and flows to identify root causes of problems and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement preventive or corrective actions. Additionally, the role includes conducting research, compiling performance reports, and analyzing process control statistics for continuous improvement. The specialist will also perform quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers, conduct hardware, software, and system level audits, and analyze data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials. The position works under general direction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office Application Suite such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of experience working with data analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 1+ year of experience with Quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 1+ year of experience with auditing to quality system standards
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace or manufacturing
  • 1+ year of experience with Tableau
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL

Responsibilities

  • Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development
  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems
  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability
  • Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approval
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
