About The Position

The Quality Support Technician serves to support the operations team by providing and performing a detailed and thorough inspection and cleaning of the repaired vehicle prior to release to the customer. This role will also serve to assist shop operations by performing a variety of tasks associated with maintenance of the shop location, including cleaning and organizing various pieces of equipment and tools.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Excellent verbal communication and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations team
Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
Visually inspecting every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area.
Promptly notifying the General Manager or assigned technician should any defects or issues be found upon inspection.
Assisting in the general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds.
Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
Ensuring that test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
Consistently utilizing all required safety equipment, adhering to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal and participating in monthly safety meetings.
Maintaining the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keeping personal work area organized and returning tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.
Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
Performing cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, as well as collecting and emptying trash cans daily.
Servicing, cleaning, and supplying items in restrooms.
Making minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb.
