About The Position

This role involves collecting, inspecting, testing, and auditing materials, processes, or products to ensure conformance to quality standards. The technician will support quality control functions for the company, including identifying and reporting defects, managing consumable bins, assisting with material disposition, and maintaining quality management documentation. The position also requires assisting with verification and testing of raw materials and finished products, contributing to department improvement initiatives, and performing comparable duties as needed. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety and ergonomics standards, and demonstrating team member values are essential. A key aspect of the role is learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records.
Proficiency with a computer.
Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Nice To Haves

Previous Quality experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in a production environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
Identify and report defects or non-conformances pertaining to the production lines / material to the QA lab.
Seal up gaylords and request new gaylords be delivered when full.
Replenish Production, QA and other consumable bins when needed.
Assist with the dispositioning of material.
Assist with maintaining quality management documentation.
Assist with verification and/or testing of raw materials and finished products to order and required specifications.
Contribute to department improvement initiatives.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assistance in other areas as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow established safety and ergonomics standards.
Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
