Quality Support Technician - Days
About The Position
Collect, inspect, test, and audit materials, processes, or products to ensure conformance. Support quality control functions for the company. This role involves collecting and delivering product samples, identifying and reporting defects, managing consumable bins, assisting with material dispositioning and quality management documentation, and verifying raw materials and finished products. The technician will contribute to department improvement initiatives and may be asked to perform similar duties or assist in other areas as needed. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety and ergonomics standards, and demonstrating team member values are essential. A key aspect of the role is learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with a computer.
- Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Quality experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a production environment is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
- Identify and report defects or non-conformances pertaining to the production lines / material to the QA lab.
- Seal up gaylords and request new gaylords be delivered when full.
- Replenish Production, QA and other consumable bins when needed.
- Assist with the dispositioning of material.
- Assist with maintaining quality management documentation.
- Assist with verification and/or testing of raw materials and finished products to order and required specifications.
- Contribute to department improvement initiatives.
- May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assistance in other areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow established safety and ergonomics standards.
