The Quality Supervisor runs the day-to-day functions of the quality department and supervises its personnel, but also provides technical support to the plant’s staff, supervisors and engineers, while assisting with effective CAPA resolutions, internal auditing, vendor compliance, and the myriad of other tasks that assist the quality manager in creating initiatives aimed towards meeting both the plant’s, and Donaldson’s, strategic goals. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Nicholasville, KY facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Has worked with quality management certification/programs (Ex. ISO9001/IATF16949)
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems or Framework
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office systems.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of supervising experience
  • Familiar with APAP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate internal continuous improvement quality projects.
  • Establish and optimize product and process criteria and ensure their deployment throughout our various value streams.
  • Responsible for customer certifications and product measuring and testing.
  • Work with cross function teams to launch new projects and transfer projects from intercompany sources.
  • Lead and engage in customer complaint investigations and corrective action responses.
  • Facilitate effective corrective actions internally and externally. Includes dealing with internal personnel as well as customers, suppliers, etc.
  • Support third party quality audits.
  • Train inspectors/Technicians concerning product quality criteria and develop/optimize inspection systems resulting from Engineering and/or Customer feedback.
  • Maintain PPAP program both internally and coordinated with customer portals.
  • Participate in PFMEA & Control plan development and review.
  • Support QM to facilitate internal and external ISO audits.
  • Apply six sigma tools and methodology to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
  • Work with cross function team to drive continuous improvement for COPQ targets from department and plant level.
  • Other tasks assigned from quality manager and higher level managers.(QMS, quality activities, etc..)
