About The Position

The Quality Supervisor – El Paso Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing quality assurance activities within Eaton’s El Paso manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with Eaton Quality Management Systems, customer requirements, and regulatory standards while supporting production, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and cross-border suppliers.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience
  • Strong working knowledge of inspection methods, measuring tools, control plans, and specification
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Effective communication across operations, engineering, and leadership teams
  • Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment in quality decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electrical, power distribution, or industrial manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, UL standards, and customer audit requirements
  • Experience working with cross-border suppliers or Mexico manufacturing support teams
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of Quality Inspectors and Technicians on the shop floor
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001, UL, and customer-specific requirements
  • Monitor in-process and final product quality across manufacturing lines
  • Review and disposition nonconforming materials (NRs) including rework, scrap, and use-as-is approvals
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using Eaton problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, A3)
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Support internal, customer, regulatory, and supplier audits
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection results, and performance metrics
  • Train and coach quality personnel on procedures, inspection techniques, safety, and Eaton standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Eaton Lean and OpEx principles
  • Coordinate quality expectations with cross-border suppliers and manufacturing support teams, as applicable
  • Ensure adherence to Eaton EHS, safety, and housekeeping standards
