About The Position

Daechang Seat Corp. (DSC), an automotive seat-frame specialist established in 1979, is hiring a Quality Supervisor. The position manages daily quality operations to ensure they are efficient and safe, leads quality employees, coordinates schedules, maintains product quality, and addresses issues to meet quality goals. The supervisor works with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The work is full-time, with a typical schedule of 8 to 10-hour days and flexibility to adjust based on production and quality needs. The role is based in a manufacturing plant with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or plant assessments.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in quality supervision or leadership within automotive or manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and problem-solving tools.
Experience leading and developing hourly or salaried quality team members.
Ability to work effectively on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

Automotive manufacturing experience, including assembly, welding, or metal fabrication.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO standards, or customer-specific requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise and lead quality employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Motivate, coach, and counsel employees to improve performance and productivity.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide employee feedback.
Monitor production processes and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
Coordinate with departments such as engineering and production to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Identify and address quality issues promptly.
Implement and enforce safety procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and address hazards.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Identify and resolve production issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with other departments to solve problems.
Manage employee performance, address issues, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Maintain accurate records of quality activities, quality-control data, and safety procedures.
Prepare reports on production performance and efficiency.
Identify process-improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
