Quality Supervisor - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Quality Supervisor oversees quality control processes on the production floor to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. The role leads a team of quality technicians and inspectors, coordinates daily quality activities, investigates non-conformances, and works with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. The Quality Supervisor ensures quality procedures are followed, documentation is accurate, and corrective actions are implemented effectively. The position supports product integrity, defect reduction, and customer satisfaction through strong quality oversight. This is a first-shift position, scheduled 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with weekends as business needs require.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent industry certifications.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with refractometers, viscometers, pH meters, digital titrators, and analytical balances.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform wet chemistry, including titrations, pH adjustment, and acid/base dilution.
- Knowledge of quality systems and applications.
- Ability to drive organizational change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Motivated to advance in a quality career.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years of experience preferred in a filling or packaging manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Review production lines and performance for adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Guidelines, and facility procedures.
- Audit documentation of testing, product holds, internal investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Oversee quality functions related to development and maintenance of product specifications.
- Develop and monitor training systems and programs that support a total quality organization.
- Control and report monthly quality data.
- Control and report store retail check data.
- Review and monitor production deviations related to Quality.
- Lead by example and work with all plant personnel to promote the desired quality culture.
