General Overview: Key Objective To provide General Mills LACDM with Product Registration, Regulatory and Technical Quality and/or CoE Global support to effectively protect our brands and manage product safety, quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Business/International Affairs or Engineering/Science Degree or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-4 years in Quality and Regulatory Affairs experience.
  • Knowledge of Food regulations related to additives, labeling, packaging and export/import in the US and Latin America.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
  • Good leadership, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of communicating with different countries and teams.
  • Able to work on a variety of different projects and prioritize appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and able to handle ambiguity.
  • Able to work independently and still support team in other functional areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Some travel within the Caribbean, Central and South America will be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Product Registration process for Latin America and Caribbean Countries.
  • Product Registration database administrator.
  • Author of Technical Specifications (English/Spanish).
  • Liaison with Attorneys and Local Authorities to meet or troubleshoot local requirements.
  • Process all new and renewal product registrations within timing objectives set by the business.
  • Verify and process product registration invoices in a timely manner.
  • Establish multi-functional review to prioritize new and renewal registrations, incorporating key business deliverables into the process.
  • Establish communication flow to provide vendors, customers and the business team with registration updates.
  • Connect current processes with overlapping areas (i.e., label development) for improved coordination across the team.
  • Keep current with changing regulations in all registration markets.
  • Internal Registration Champion for LATAM, Caribbean, Central America and Southern Cone markets. Influence and build support across all functions of the business team to drive business growth.
  • Provide support to the local business units programs in LACDM regarding new products and providing technical product information.
  • Technical Specs, labeling and formula changes.
  • Proactively manage communication of formula or packaging updates, and sourcing changes to minimize the potential business impact for LACDM.
  • Identify any gaps and work with the team to implement improvement plans.
