About The Position

At Zelestra, we are looking for a Quality Specialist to join the Latam Business Unit, based in our Santiago office. Their main mission will be to develop and coordinate the implementation of the Quality Plan for Business Unit projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards across all processes, documents, and deliverables that impact the construction of our projects, from planning through to the operation of our renewable energy generation plants. They will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the plan, designing and proposing intervention actions for these processes and/or deliverables in order to enhance associated management and ensure the achievement of established standards, in line with regulations, technical specifications, current legislation, and corporate guidelines. This position will require approximately 50% of time in the office (Santiago) and 50% in the field.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Execution), Mechanical Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of overall professional experience in the electrical sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in renewable energy plants, during Construction and Operation & Maintenance stages.
  • Experience in the evaluation, management, and mitigation of risks related to plant commissioning.
  • Experience working on-site in roles involving direct interaction with employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards and regulations (certification is desirable).
  • Advanced user-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Class B driver’s license.
  • Availability to spend approximately 50% of the time in the office (Santiago) and 50% in the field.
  • Availability to travel nationally and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • User-level proficiency in SAP (highly desirable).
  • Intermediate English (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the execution of the Quality Plan for projects.
  • Coordinate the execution, monitoring, and control of procedures for obtaining the Provisional Acceptance Certificate.
  • Update and review documentation related to quality management generated on site (calibration certificates, quality certificates, test results, PPI, among others).
  • Carry out Quality Control on site, considering the work execution schedule, detected or anticipated deficiencies, and other factors such as the importance of the unit/equipment.
  • Coordinate and follow up on the information required for plan development, maintaining fluid communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate the tasks of the Quality Inspectors team on site.
  • Prepare internal Quality reports and other required deliverables.
  • Open, document, and follow up on identified non-conformities (NCs).
  • Ensure compliance with and support the implementation of Integrated Management Systems within the scope of their responsibilities.
