About The Position

The position involves conducting in-house quality reviews of assigned cases, gathering data from various sources, and evaluating the accuracy of work products. The specialist will also write summaries and required reports, and handle correspondence and telephone inquiries. Attendance at meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions is expected to stay informed about techniques, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in public administration, business administration, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year), or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND One (1) year of experience with a DHS (or comparable department)
  • OR High School or GED; AND Three (3) years of experience with a DHS (or comparable department) using PC based word processing, spreadsheets or data base applications
  • Must undergo a background check via the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI).
  • Must have a car, valid driver’s license issued by the state of residency and required auto liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in public assistance eligibility to include SNAP, TANF and Medicaid
