About The Position

The Constructability Review Specialist supports the Design Manager and the Owner Authorized Representative during the design and preconstruction phases of K-12 school construction projects. This role involves reviewing project scope, schedule, and construction documents before they are put out for bid. The specialist will help define and review the scope of work and schedule in the Project Requirement Document, including any interim housing requirements. Key responsibilities include recommending value engineering options early in the design process to reduce costs without compromising functionality. As the design progresses, the specialist will review design team documents for inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions to minimize contractor requests for information (RFIs) and change orders during construction. Ensuring coordination across design disciplines and preparing a comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents are also critical aspects of this role, requiring collaboration with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative.
